Celebrating International Nurses Day 2014

Celebrating International Nurses Day 2014

International Nurses Day 2014 (Monday 12 May) gives us a great opportunity to recognise and celebrate the hard work and dedication of our nurses and their integral role in healthcare.

At Wirral Community NHS Trust there are more than 500 registered nurses working across approximately 17 different community based services.

Our nurses have put together posters to tell you what nursing means to them – you can visit the full display at St Catherine's Health Centre 12-19 May 2014. A smaller selection of posters will also be on display for the rest of May at Victoria Central Health Centre, Eastham Clinic or All Day Health Centre.

Here's what our patients say about our nurses:

Community nursing

"Wonderful, helpful, caring staff. Thorough, clean and punctual. Cannot recommend more highly."

"Nurse was polite, very smart and introduced herself on arriving. Thorough but not rushed"

Sexual health service
"The nurse that I saw was fantastic, put me at ease and explained everything fully to me."

Health visiting services
"Nurse was friendly, professional and extremely helpful."

Dental service
"Great service, very welcoming and extremely high professionalism. My daughter was comfortable and put at ease throughout the whole treatment."

Heart Support
"Don't think you can improve service I received, it was all explained to me and if I wasn't sure I had a leaflet to look at the nurse was very informative and was very friendly."

Have you been seen by one of our nurses? Tell us about your experience...
