'For You Thank You' Staff Awards 2014

Wirral Community NHS Trust Staff and volunteers gathered at the Floral Pavilion, New Brighton last night for the 2014 'For You Thank You' staff awards. Hosted by Radio Merseyside's Billy Butler, the event celebrated the fantastic work of individuals and teams across the trust and saw our winners presented with their trophy.

Wirral Heart Support service excelled winning two awards – Customer & patient care as well as Inspirational manager of the year as did the Livewell team who had joint winners in the Promoting equality and diversity category.

Speech and Language Therapy service won the award for Best NEW initiative and were runners up in the Sustainable future category won by the Continence service.

Other winners included Sarah Love from Communications & marketing for Outstanding achivement and Sean Hancox from Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation for Volunteer of the year which was presented by Esther McVey MP.

The final awards of the night were Non clinical team and Clinical team of the year. The Centralised booking service were thrilled to win Non clinical team after an challenging year where staff had exceeded expectations providing a safe and solid service to Wirral patients. The Clinical team of the year sponsored by Hill Dickinson was won by the Tissue viability service who were delighted to receive the award and the recognition for their fantastic work.

Special thanks were given to the staff and public members who volunteered their time to judge the many nominations, and thanks too to sponsors, Hill Dickinson, LT Print Group and Lorne Stewart who kindly supported the event.
