Local NHS trust urges men to get involved in Men’s Health Week (13 - 19 June)

Men's Health Week, run by Men's Health Forum, is designed to encourage men to take a new healthy approach to their health & wellbeing by openly talking about their health and seeking advice if something does not quite feel or look right.

This year's national campaign urges men to talk about stress before it develops into something more serious and Wirral Community NHS Foundation Trust is encouraging local men to get involved.

This year one in four of us will develop a mental health problem. That is odds of 3 to 1 or about the same as France or Germany winning the Euro 2016 football. Beat stress by talking about it and keeping your mind and body active. Why not try playing football, relaxing and talking with family and friends, exercising, gardening or playing/listening to music.

Men's Health Forum provides a great resource of information, guidance and advice on all aspects of men's health & wellbeing and is launching a new service during Men's Health Week to support and encourage men to talk to a professional about stress before it develops into something more serious. The confidential service includes free text chat with experts trained in beating stress. To sign up for this free services visit www.menshealthforum.org.uk.
