Chlamydia Screening

You can catch chlamydia at any age!

Most people who have chlamydia don’t experience any symptoms, but if left untreated chlamydia can develop and cause long-term complications, which are then much more difficult to treat.

So, it’s worth getting tested! Chlamydia testing is available at all of our clinics and aswell some pharmacies and schools across Wirral. Testing is done by taking a swab or urine sample. Chlamydia is easy to treat with antibiotics, usually as a single dose.

We’ve made it even easier for you to get tested with our free postal testing kit. Simply:

  • ‘Request a test’ from our dedicated website or
  • text EZ7 with your name address, postcode and date of birth to 88020 and your testing kit will be sent out to you in a discreet package

Once you have been screened we will contact you by your chosen method of notification  - which can even be by text message if that’s what you would prefer. If the test is positive, you and your partner(s) will be offered treatment.

We also offer outreach services to schools and colleges to promote general sexual health and wellbeing to students. Our staff also lead promotional days and local events to raise awareness of the importance of chlamydia testing and general sexual health.
